This post is dedicated to the characters’ transformation outfits, not the Henshin A.K.A transformation sequences themselves.

10. Kukai Souma as Sky Jack From Shugo Chara

I love the super sporty Kukai and his guardian character, Daichi of Shugo Chara.

9. Chibiusa as Sailor Chibi Moon From Sailor Moon

I also love her Super Transformation, but I prefer the color scheme of her original transformation.

8. Minto. Aizawa From Tokyo Mew Mew

I love her color scheme and choker.

7. Mitsuki Koyama From Full Moon O Sagashite

Anyone who has seen the anime or read the manga may know that Mitsuki isn’t a magical girl in the traditional I Save the World sense. She actually transforms from her 12-year-old self to that of a 16-year-old pop star known as Full Moon. But it’s an awesome transformation outfit, especially whenever Takuto gives her wings.

6. Maron as Jeanne Of Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne

If you see similarities between Mitsuki and Jeanne, it’s because both manga series are from the great mangaka Arina Tanemura.

5. Lucia Nanami as Pink Pearl Voice From Mermaid Melody.

Lucia is definitely one of those shoujo heroines that I can understand why, unlike Usagi of Sailor Moon, people don’t immediately recognize her because she looks so different than that of her human form.

4. Sailor Saturn From Sailor Moon

I would argue that Sailor Saturn is perhaps overall the most powerful of the Senshi given her powers. I love her aesthetic overall, especially with purple being my favorite color.

3. Takuto Kira From Full Moon O Sagashite

We definitely see Takuto in his shinigami form a lot in the series, both in the original manga and in the anime. There are a lot of wonderful examples of him in human form in Arina Tanemura’s art book. He is probably my second fave male lead in all of shoujo. (The first being Mamo chan of course.)

2. Sakura Kinomoto of Cardcaptor Sakura/Clear Card

I bet we all wish we had a friend like Tomoyo to slay with the magical girl outfit designs. Unlike most heroines, Sakura constantly debuts new outfits.

  1. Usagi Tsukino As Sailor Moon From Sailor Moon.

I could have chosen one of several forms for Usagi, including her princess form, but I love the colorful rainbow aesthetic of her Super Sailor Moon form. The above photo is from Sailor Moon Crystal. Unlike some fans, I enjoyed the aesthetic of Crystal.
