Reading Highlights of The Week:
Tsubaki Chou Lonely Planet, Vol. 2
I had a lovely time re-reading this one. I also try re-reading volumes I intend to review here on the blog.
Manga TBR For The Week:
Like A Butterfly, Vol. 3
I am really enjoying this series. I feel that the protagonists are very relatable.
Manga To Be Reviewed Soon:
Perfect World, Vol. 2
I am hoping to start the review of this volume by tomorrow. I am always happy to feature reviews with realistic disability representation.
A Sign Of Affection, Vol. 7
This series is my absolute favorite currently running shoujo series. It truly makes my heart happy.
Anime Watching Updates:
Sailor Moon Cosmos Films:
Like most Sailor Moon fans, I watched the Sailor Moon Cosmos films this weekend. As a Usagi X Mamoru fan, my heart is so happy to see the ending scenes animated. I still wish we had gotten seasons 4 and 5 of Sailor Moon Crystal, though, because the films sometimes seemed a little rushed. Including the previous films in the Crystal reboot.
7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!
I watched this series on a whim, and I have to say that Rische is great! I read a lot of Otome Isekai, but I typically don’t watch Isekai anime. I found Rische using all the skills of her previous life interesting and refreshing. I hope it has a season 2. I also really appreciated Arnold’s reactions to Rische’s antics.
Dr. Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp
This was on my Crunchyroll recommended list after watching 7th Time Loop. Elise is a former villainess who became a doctor when she was reincarnated in the modern world. Upon her unexpected demise in the modern world, she finds herself in her original world/timeline 10 years before her demise. Elise is now determined to become a doctor in her original world and right her previous wrongs. I am enjoying Elise’s determination. I am currently on episode 7 and really wish the king would let her be.
